About Steve: Steve Biljan has been shaped, molded, and influenced by his upbringing. His journey to evolvedMD, to leading a passionate team at the forefront of healthcare innovation, is a story of courage and resilience. With firsthand experience in the power of behavioral health interventions and the trajectory-changing work that can be done with compassionate practitioners, Steve has dedicated his career to ensuring individuals and families who need quality mental health services receive them in a way that is not only accessible but impactful. As Managing Partner of evolvedMD, Steve oversees finance, operations, and corporate strategy while developing a team of committed clinicians and mental health activists. A native Minnesotan who now splits time between San Diego and Scottsdale, you can find Steve outside in a garden or on a run, doing his best to cook an elaborate meal, or spending time with his partner and friends outside of spreadsheets and strategy sprints.

About Emily: Emily Bofetta, MPA, CPHQ, has over 13 years of behavioral healthcare quality and operations experience. In her previous role as Chief Compliance & Quality Officer for Arizona’s Children Association, Emily was responsible for the company’s overall quality and performance improvement efforts to ensure that service delivery and operations were in alignment with best practice standards, and in compliance with various regulatory and accreditation requirements. Previously, she has held various roles in quality assurance, revenue cycle, and business operations in behavioral healthcare. Emily’s broad experience in healthcare operations has given her a robust understanding of how a quality improvement mindset is essential to all aspects of successful healthcare delivery. Emily achieved her Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality in 2018, holds a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Kansas, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University. She additionally serves as a volunteer Peer Reviewer for the Council on Accreditation, and the Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Association for Healthcare Quality.

About John: Dr. John Brewer is an experienced clinical leader with deep experience leading, shaping, and elevating the mental health industry. A strong healthcare services professional, John earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice focused in Psych/Behavioral Health from Montana State University. From leading outpatient services to business operations to staff development to program planning, John's impressive resume eventually led him to being Vice President of Behavioral Health for Phoenix Children's. Now as evolvedMD's first Chief Clinical Officer of Psychiatry, John oversees our psychiatric medication management services and associated programs to enhance patient care as part of our unique Collaborative Care model. Outside of work, you'll find John tapping into his love for the great outdoors and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles.

About Cody: Cody is one of the foremost clinical transformation leaders with ample experience in nursing, clinical operations, and payor relations. A proud registered nurse with two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Cody strives to improve the quality, accessibility, and affordability of care for diverse populations. As evolvedMD's Vice President of Payor Relations, Cody is charged with defining and executing national and regional payor strategies while growing revenue and optimizing payor relationships, both commercial and government. With over 20 years’ experience as a Human Resources (HR) executive, Mrs. Hinkle has spearheaded cultural transformations at large Fortune 50 organizations, late-stage startups, and everything in between spanning healthcare, finance, and higher education. In his role, Erik is responsible for enhancing the customer experience, developing a high-performing team, and elevating the integrated behavioral health industry through thought leadership. Prior to evolvedMD, Erik founded another healthcare venture, a clinical lab specializing in anatomical pathology services that was ultimately acquired by one of the nation’s largest diagnostic laboratories in 2020. With an extensive and proven background in B2B sales, management, and influencing high-level leaders, Erik gained national exposure and experience managing teams as the Director of National Accounts at several large medical device companies.
